Hi guys. Just a little update on what has been new on the gypsy fly front. We are finishing up our live concert film (that was shot at the Double Door in Chicago this summer). Right now Timo Video Chicago just sent me a link to where I can watch a private clip. I am watching the first part as I type this and I can’t wait for you guys to see it. If you haven’t seen us play live, you’ll be entertained and want to see us for sure.

We have a photo shoot at one of our favorite lounges in the Chicago land area on Sunday November 6th. Spending the afternoon surrounded by pretty women is never a bad thing. We are working with Dartise Johnson again. He shot the Silver Or Lead album photos for us and he’s the man. I can’t wait to see how they come out.

We also have been working on releasing a Live album that was recorded at a different show this summer. There’s some magic in there as we listen back and we think it’s worth releasing. We also did two covers that night by the Stereophonics and Alkaline Trio. We never do covers, so it should be fun thing for you guys to enjoy.

We have a new Facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/gypsyflymusic Although we have been busy and not really keeping in touch like we would like, we will have contests and sneak peeks and giveaways via the face book page. So if you haven’t liked us yet, tell all your friends and get on there. It’s about to get real fun for us real soon.

Keep your eyes peeled for a new look to our website (coming soon!) and some info on the next album. Yeah I said it…..It’s in the early demo-stage. But songs are being written slowly and we will sneak an acoustic demo to a special fan via our Facebook page in the upcoming months. But there will be some contest or quiz you’ll have to pass. Sorry--you got to work for the special stuff!

Also for those of you that saw our concerts drop off the map all of a sudden. Tommy 2k got a pretty severe case of tonsillitis in July. He lost 8 lbs because he couldn’t talk or eat for a few days. In the following months, anytime he tried to sing his vocal cords would swell and it the pain would return. He would be ok for a time then it would return. He finally is recovering and is back to 100% with no relapses or pain (knock on wood) and has been rehearsing again.

Hi everyone. A ton of things are new at G-fly headquarters.

We would like to thank everyone who came out to the Freedom Bash and Showed your support for a good cause. The same goes for those who attended John Barleycorn ,in Schaumburg, that very same week. We had the audio recorded that night . After listening back to it, we think we might release a live full length online at the end of the summer. There were definitely some special parts and the sound engineers were on point that night.

Speaking of Live, we are working on the Live @ Double Door DVD as we speak. The audio is being loaded in, re-mixed and mastered, and the video is going through the same process. We hope to have that for you by the end of the summer.

Hello everyone.

We have a show this Saturday (June 11th) that is pretty special. It’s FREE, ALL AGES, and for a good cause. We are playing at the Hanover Park Township (actually located in Bartlett), for their "Support the Troops" festival called Freedom Bash. The location is 250 S. Route 59 - Bartlett IL 60103.

We will take the stage at 6:00 p.m. and play an extended set. There is a Beer Garden and it is indeed an outdoor festival so it should be a ton of fun, and it's for a good cause. Go to www.freedombash.com for a complete lineup and how to donate goods to your armed forces. There are also activities like there would be at typical festival.

We love playing outside and have a nice set list planed with some surprises. Come enjoy the weather with us. If it turns ugly there are tents that cover the stage and surrounding area so you won’t get soaked, and we won’t get cancelled.

Thursday June 16th we are also playing at John Barleycorn in Schaumburg. This is a 21 and older show. The cover charge is only $5. Included in the $5 cover is a 1 drink ticket redeemable for a specialty drink of your choice***. Doors open at 8p.m. and the show starts at 9 p.m. The room is pretty awesome. The stage is huge, and the sound there is great. Not to mention, the room is pretty great as well. Overall cool place. We never really play the burbs, so if you've been missing our shows in the city, this is your best bet!

Tonight's Radio interview cancelled! Due to Weather

Radio interview had been canceled :( sorry guys we will have a re-scheduled date ASAP! They are still getting pounded with lake-effect snow and Taxi's are not running. They spent the night sleeping on the couches at the station and are still there. We wouldn't be guaranteed a Cab ride from the train station to the radio station so we can't do it. Also the train line we take hit a car this morning and the times are running on a Sunday schedule--but screwed up....

Should have a make-up date in a few days or this weekend at the latest. Sorry again!
